Day trip with your baby!!!- Strolling around

Baby's day out..

A simple task of taking your baby on a day trip like a club or resort could be stressful 😂.

Allow me to let you in on a little secret 😏 that babies love a day out, just like you and me.

To all the lovely ladies out there, who are planning to take a break during this festive season, I would like to share my experience and encourage you all to just let go and soak some sun..

You must be thinking how does it work and how will you manage feeding , cleaning and keeping the baby happy and also get some time for yourself .

Well it's simple.

1). Carry the essentials only - sometimes we get so overboard with baby packing, it's like carrying the entire nursery with you . But babies do not actually need all the stuff. Just few diapers, wet wipes (mother care or Mimi) , changing mat, mosquito patch( mama earth),  a fresh jumpsuit( I prefer jumpsuit any day for my daughter) and small handy napkins. If you are not breastfeeding then formula. That's literally all the stuff you need.

2). Stroller - I highly recommend you invest in a stroller 😉. It not only eases your pain to constantly carry your infant around but also gives a joy ride to your child. I remember the first time I tried it on, she was a little fussy, but the after 20 minutes or so she loved it.

The stroller I use is  Maclaren Techno XT Stroller - lightweight, compact. This one has high rated safety features and it is also compact and light weight when compared to other brand products who offer similar features. It is also expensive when compared to other cheaper brands of babyhug, lovelap, chico etc. But I would still go for this one as mobility of the stroller is great and you can actually stroll around with just a finger push and also the baby is comfortable and secure. It has got height adjustable feature , so it becomes easy for a tall mom like me,to push with ease without having to actually bend.

3) Pro Tips:

If possible for your very first outing, go along with your family and friends, the major advantage is you will have spare time on your hands if your baby needs attention.

Feed your child right before you leave your home for the day. Infants usually enjoy the car ride and they tend to sleep throughout the journey. So if you are lucky , by the time you reach your destination you will have a happy and well rested baby.

Now, of you plan to swim or get a massage done, then you can do so very conveniently, by parking the baby near the pool area in the stroller and take a swim.  The major advantage is you will able to make a visual contact with your child at all times without having to bother anyone to hold the baby or looking for a secure area to place your baby.

I had a foot massage done and while my foot was relaxing and I was having a great time, my daughter was latched on to me and feeding at the same time. In this way I didn't have to spend extra time feeding my daughter away from all the fun.

As the sunlight was receding, I decided to take her for a stroll in the park or even paved area would do good. She loved the joy ride for good one hour and it was more relaxing for me as I haven't had the extra time to go for a walk lately. It was refreshing.

During dinner, she was all up and needed some play time, so I had placed her beside her father on the sofa and he could easily manage a smile or a little rattle sound while we all had our dinner conversation and focused on the lovely meal.

Sometimes, doing simple things like smiling at your child, making eye contact and spending time without mobile or any other hindrance goes a long way. When you go technology free and spend quality time, you will experience that your child will be more responsive towards you and will acknowledge , understand and appreciate your gestures and will eventually become more disciplined.

My all time mantra is to never use mobile or be distracted by anything while you are spending time with your child. Even an hour of undivided attention will go a long way in building the relationship and I can definitely see the result in my own daughter. She smiles all the time and is happy to find me around.!!!
